Baptiste Morizot was the guest on France Inter for Mathieu Vidard’s programme “La terre au carré” on 5 February 2020.
Baptiste Morizot is a philosopher, lecturer at the University of Aix-Marseille and author of Manières d’êtres vivants (Actes Sud) with a preface by Alain Damasio.
He is leading a cultural battle to rethink the cohabitation between man and animal, one of the major issues of the 21st century. In his introduction, he describes the ecological crisis as our relationship to living beings. He also speaks of the “crisis of sensibility” as an impoverishment of what we can feel, perceive, understand and weave as relationships to living things.
He thinks about including the living in our daily relationships.
“For four centuries, modernity has put in place devices that allow us to ignore other forms of life, the ecosystems”.

These questions about our relationship with life have been explored in the production of the Radio Commons podcast “Pour d’autres habiter monde”.
