Giulia CRISCI is an independent curator. She studied art history at the University of Palermo and Turin. She is interested in the relationship between art and activism in the public and social spheres, with a particular focus on alternative pedagogies and the processes of knowledge creation and sharing. In 2018, she joined the Learning Lab of Relais Culture Europe. Based in Palermo, she is currently working with the Ecomuseo Mare Memoria Viva, as a curator of artistic and cultural projects and public engagement strategies. She was a member of the international research program Sylff- Young Leaders Fellowship Fund of Tokyo Foundation i in partnership with the Istituto Pedro Arrupe in Palermo. She has contributed to several artistic and social innovation projects such as: UNIDEE – University of ideas, educational programme of the Pistoletto Foundation, Resò – International Network of Art Residences and Educational Programmes, Eco e Narciso, public art project in Turin, Ulissi, research-action project she founded with Routes Agency Collective, whose aim is to explore the imaginary of the Mafia within contemporary cultures.
