Marie-Angèle Rabanéda

As Territorial Director for the Reunion Region, she leads, within the Department of Culture and Cultural Heritage, the reflections and the implementation of new modes of cooperation between actors and new systems that are closer to the needs of the artistic sectors, such as the regional scheme for the performing arts. It develops a series of action programmes, in partnership with the Relais Culture Europe and in particular the LabEuropeRéunion, aimed at the participation of cultural actors from Réunion in the European creative space.

She has been an observer and player in public cultural policies in Reunion Island for around thirty years. Her training as a lawyer and her experience in the public administration of culture as well as in cultural institutions such as the Indian Ocean Drama Centre and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Reunion Island have led her to take a particular interest in cultural rights and their translation into public policies.
