Maëlle Nicault

Academic-practitioner at the forefront of sustainable human development and socio-environmental justice in PACTE Research Center (Grenoble Alpes University), research project manager at the Regional Council of Reunion Island and co-founder of the association Sillages. She works on the evolution of natural and cultural resource management of geographical isolated communities.

She is actually working on a research-action program about integrated and shared water-management with public agents, associations and inhabitants of 3 villages of Mafate (Reunion Island). She use an approach based on decoloniality and capability (the real possibility to act and be for individuals and groups) to analyze the process of socio-environmental justice in those territories.
